He holds an undergraduate degree in Mining and Mineral Engineering from Montana Technological University, Butte, Montana and an MBA (Master of Business Administration) from the University of Phoenix, Salt Lake City Campus. He previously worked for Mining Services International as Vice President of Operations and Technical Services respectively. He also served as Senior Mining Engineer for the Ministry of Lands, Mines and Energy, Republic of Liberia, prior to joining the Bong Mining Company, a German-owned joint venture, where he worked for over 10 years as a Section Head within the Mining Department.
Currently, Stanton is retired and serves his local church as Chairman of the Deacon Board. He is an effective leader with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and is skilled at developing meaningful internal and external business relationships. He is proficient at strategic planning, negation and decision making and project management and has excellent leadership and communications abilities. He is an adaptive team player with the ability to engage several projects simultaneously.
